About Stacy Alderman

My name is Stacy, and I’ve loved to write for as long as I can remember. I didn’t graduate from a prestigious college with a journalism degree, but I do remember the exact moment when I realized I wanted to be a writer. I was sitting in my sixth grade English class, watching my fellow students scribble about what they wanted to be when they grew up. As the standard list of typical jobs ran through my head (ballerina, veterinarian, astronaut), I realized that nothing could excite me more than writing for the rest of my life. Twenty-plus years later, not much has changed.

In my twenties, I completed two correspondence courses with The Institute of Children’s Literature, and I had a short story published by a local library. In 2016, I self-published two novels, both of which are available on Amazon and Kindle. I also write for The Holiday Cafe, a blog contributed to and run by Pittsburghers, and am ecstatic to finally launch Quirky, Confused, and Curvy.

When I’m not writing, I’m probably reading. And if I’m not doing either of those two things, I’m probably watching Penguins Hockey, or (thinking about) traveling. I currently work a 9-5 office job until my writing takes off, and I live with my husband and fur kid in a tiny suburb of Pittsburgh.
