About Michael Saint James

Michael Saint James has over 30 years experience as a photographer, educator and world traveler. He has photographed penguins in Antarctica, taught English language in Japan, and rode is bicycle across the United States. He is a teacher of the Impressionists, History of Art, Paris, Photography, and a keynote speaker on the post-impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh. Saint James has walked in the footsteps of Van Gogh through the Netherlands, Belgium and France to better understand the artist’s personal life and unique artistic vision.

Living as a Parisian for a year, Saint James left his American lifestyle and spent his days and nights capturing images from over, on, beside and under the bridges of Paris. He immersed himself in French culture to search out his authentic artist self and create his own masterpiece.

Saint James lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two children.
