Robbin Miller published her first picture book promoting both diversity and inclusion for young children attending a structured playgroup at anearly intervention program. Robbin's son, EJ, is the main character in "Playgroup Time," where he attended playgroup as a baby/toddler in 2010 as a community resident.
Robbin enjoys writing picture books when she is able to fit it in her busy schedule as a working mom. Her second picture book, "Three Best Friends," is in progress as soon as the illustrations are done in the near future. This book is about a boy who happens to be a wheelchair user who can not play with his two best friends in a new community playground that uses wood chips as the floor foundation. The main character is determined to fit in to play with his peers and soon learns the true meaning of friendship as well.
EJ meets a new friend, Lewis, in a weekly playgroup who is crying and clinging to his mother. EJ runs over with a big smile on his face to show Lewis how much fun playgroup can be through adventure and a few itty bitty mishaps to make new friends.
