@angelfish2012yahoo-com Hi Christi! Do you reccommend Scrivener to compose a non fiction MS? Is there a better software for using in browser research that stays within the writing application?

    • Hi Angelfish, Scrivener is really good and easy, it formats the manuscript for you, saves your work automatically, searches for the file you want, and so much more. Have a look at the videos tutorials on youtube to see if it is the right software for you. There are other softwares that are really good too, here is a link: http://www.techradar.com/au/news/software/applications/best-free-software-for-writing-10-programs-to-unleash-your-creativity-1141280

I hope it helps. Have a great week!

    • Hi Nancy, I do not have personal experience with Scrivener, so I’m glad other members who do, have weighed in.

    • Scrivener is an awesome tool and I wish more authors would use it. I’ve used it for 3 nonfiction books/booklets, and I even use it for organizing my blog posts. I write about it in my Self-Pub Boot Camp book (3rd Ed) and other places.

Another thing that’s great about it is that it exports (they call it compile) to ebook and doc formats so you can immediately post a beta of your book to your audience.

It also compiles to HTML so you can use PressBooks to create PDF, mobi and EPUB versions.

But the organizational capabilities are what I value most.

      Have fun!
