About Larisa Vetrova

Hi, my name is Larisa Vetrova, author of a first book on  "How Lenin and Stalin Brainwashed Russians - Vol.1 from 1917 to 1939" (two more are in preparation to cover the Soviet history till its meltdown in 1991).

Born early 1960's in St. Petersburg (Russia) in a Nomenklatura family, my father was a Colonel in the Soviet Army in charge of the satellites launching pad of Baikonour. I spent my youth and teenager years following a mandatory standardized schooling program primarily geared to root in our young brains, “How beautiful and promising” would our future world be following Marxism-Leninism ideology. Though being part of a "Privileged social class'" in communist Russia, I had many friends from all social categories.

Later on, at St. Petersburg University, initially trained in general business studies, I earned a Masters degree in Social Psychology. This subject matter was always of great interest to me and helped me to know well the customs and culture of my vast country, its language, literature, and most important the psychology of my Russian compatriots

I spent most of my life in Russia till the days of Perestroika, the fall of the Berlin wall and the next ten years that saw namely a devaluation of the Russian Ruble by one-thousand percent.

I emigrated to Belgium in 2002.

Worth to note that I started to maintain a Website at Russian History Club

(the website is still very "Skinny" at this stage but I plan to add a blog to it.
