Kathleen Maher is the author of "Diary of a Heretic," a novel (2013) and "Underground Nest," a novella (2012). Her short fiction has appeared in literary journals including Ascent, Black Warrior Review, Confrontation, Cottonwood, Descant (TCU), Gargoyle, Passages North, and The View From Here. Her work has reached short-list status in numerous contests, including The William Faulkner Society Novel Competition, Iowa School of Letters Award, and Drue Heinz Literature Prize.
