About Hal Alpiar

Hals career is deeply rooted in twelve years of publishing house and “Top 10” Madison Avenue advertising agencies (Young & Rubicam, Wells Rich Greene, and Foote Cone Belding) as a copywriter and creative management executive. He is a leading business and entrepreneur development coach. His two-term federal appointments to the Small Business Administration (SBA) Advisory Council (NY/NJ/PA/VI) and five years on the National Committee for  Quality  Health  Care  Public Affairs Team  attest  to  his entrepreneurial leadership and consulting success track-record.

As a coach and consultant, Hal assisted over 1,000 business startups and expansion programs. He was founding director of the Pennsylvania Heart Institute, co-founder of NJ-based Bio-Motion of America 3-D Motion Analysis for Physical Therapy, and founder/president of NYC-based  E-Health Care Ventures (a 12-company Internet conglomerate). His marketing innovations in sales, advertising, promotion, public relations, and packaging are credited with over one billion dollars in client sales.

Hal hosted and produced three years of a popular Monday-Friday feature radio show— BUSINESSWORKS ON THE AIR—broadcast twice daily for three years on WJLK, Asbury Park, NJ, offering personal, professional, and business development guidance for entrepreneurs and corporate entrepreneurs.

In academia, Hal was named “Professor-of-the-Year” by students at both Pace University in New York and Ocean County College in New Jersey. He also taught at Georgian Court College, and served as a Special Instructor with the US Army Columbia College extension program.

Hal is a national book award winning author who has published five business books (DOCTOR BUSINESS; PMIC, Los Angeles; 1995, for doctors); DOCTOR SHOPPING; Health Information Press, Los Angeles; 1997, for healthcare consumers); (“GOOD LUCK!”; No-Waste Publishing; Fenton, MO; 2010, a commissioned biography); HIGHWAY TO A HIGHER AUTHORITY; Trinity Logistics; Seaford, DE; 2012, a commissioned memoir on the trucking industry); (JOB HUNTER; Lifemanship Press; Howell, NJ; 1981, human resources outplacement guide), plus  a novel (HIGH TIDE 2013 www.HighTideNow,com), short stories (including “Dirt Floor Visit” in the Nightengale Press Collection, The Art of Grandparenting; 2010), and hundreds of business and cultural feature articles in print and online publications.

He is in the process of producing an animated video of his children’s self-esteem development book (in verse), DOODLE-OO The Bare-Headed Bear   for 2015 release. His blog www.BusinessWorks.US—ongoing since April, 2008—features over 1200 original posts on business, personal, and entrepreneurial development. In addition to having published scores of formal business plans and management training guidebooks, Hal writes scheduled guest blog posts for clients as well as for numerous online news sites. He has created and published client news releases, feature stories, website content, and branding themes for hundreds of client websites.

Hal is a graduate of the 4-As Advanced Advertising Studies Institute in New York City and The New School for Entrepreneurs, Tarrytown, NY. He holds an MBA from Long Island University (Greenvale, NY) in management and marketing; a BBA from Iona College (New Rochelle, NY) in marketing and philosophy; and is a university MA equivalent candidate in human development.

He has just completed editing the Nightengale Media, LLC script for a Broadway-bound stage show, FEARLESS! The Golden Love Musical (See www.FearlessTheMusical.com), and is currently writing the sequel to HIGH TIDE, titled ebb tide… the storm continues. P.S. So you know it’s “in the blood” — Hal’s daughter Haley Murphy is an accomplished stage director (and Washington-area “WATCH Award” winner for “Dr. Seuss The Musical”) with her own “Dodgeball Theatre” in Northern Virginia. And Hal’s son Christopher is a well-known jazz performer/arranger/composer (recently returned from performing in New York City and coordinating the Atlanta Jazz Festival, with his own recording studio in Atlanta.
