About Beverly Benson Van Horn

I grew up in Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri before moving to Colorado and now in Arizona. I have 3 children, 2 step children, 8 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, several great grandchildren.

I majored in Journalism at Christian College in Columbia, MO, now Columbia College and Kansas University. I worked for various newspapers, daily and weekly and co-founded a weekly in Creede and South Fork, CO.

I've produced 4 audio books of pioneer women's diaries, published 3 non-fiction books and now published this historical novel of my grandparents hospital for unwed mothers in Kansas City, MO. 1905 to 1969. It is called Unfortunate Women.

I live in Tucson with a dog and two cats and sell real estate.

I have skied, golfed,  hiked, climbed three fourteener mountains in CO., and I swim laps and walk daily.
