This book caused me to lose sleep... literally. That's how good it was. I have never read a book of this magnitude in such a short period of time. Simply couldn't place it down. -Erica Simmons (Amazon Reader)
Rhapsody is a fast paced read that kept my interest from beginning to end. I was easily transported back into the lives of these fascinating characters, not wanting to stop reading even when real life was calling.
As someone who enjoys reading before bedtime, I can honestly say that I shouldn’t have read Rhapsody before getting some much-needed sleep. When I reluctantly turned off my e-reader, I fell asleep and had a nightmare where I was fighting off a main character from the book. I woke myself up thrashing around and trying to shake my husband’s arms off of me. If that isn’t a true testament to the intensity of the story and the author’s writing ability, I don’t know what is. -Shelley, "Two Book Lovers Reviews"
This book allows the reader to get inside the mind of the main characters, including Jeremy, as dark as his thoughts are. The aforementioned characters are all living lives of vigilance and fear...hoping to hide from Jeremy's manipulation and threats. There are other characters as well who are victims of Jeremy...there's even a suicide.
Somehow, and I think very intelligently, in the midst of all this, there is the beauty of classical music. In fact, the author, before one begins to read this book, shares all the musical selections mentioned in this book. If you don't own these works of classical music, then definitely go online, YouTube perhaps, and give them a listen...it adds to the storylines.
Personally, I zipped through the first two books in this trilogy because I was captivated by them and found it difficult to put down. I'm very much looking forward to the release of the third and final book: "Requiem".

Lauren Rico was going to be principal French horn of the New York Philharmonic. That was HER plan, anyway. The New York Philharmonic had no idea of her intentions, and that's probably a good thing, since she wasn't an especially good French horn player!
Lauren was, however, an exceptionally good classical music radio host. Calling herself a "Classical Music Reanimator," she has made a career of demystify classical music for her audiences by taking it off a dusty old pedestal and putting it into a modern context.
It's only been over the last couple of years that Lauren has discovered a passion for writing, which she's managed to combine with her love and knowledge of the classical music world. That's when she had the realization that she had something special with this story of love and obsession and music.
