Deadly Shamrocks

An Irish Tale of Murder, Romance, and Revenge
Beautiful Vivian Clancy was born of Irish immigrant parents; the working poor. Vivian learned at an early age that you did not mix with those not of your own kind. Bigotry was deep rooted in those days. She also learned that even those of your own kind would hurt you if given the right opportunity. One day while working at Flannery's Pub, Vivian met a handsome Irish stranger. He was kind and generous and very charming. Little did she know just how much this man would change her life...forever.

I bought this book and had it read within a few days. I loved the story and it was so well written. There were times I felt like I was there actually watching the story unfold. I also love the fact that the main female isn't anyone to mess with me instead of being made out to be so reliant upon a man. When I would put the book down I couldn't wait to pick it back up to see what was going on next. It definitely kept you guessing, not predictable at all. I can honestly say that I LOVED this book and would recommend it highly. I can't wait for the next book from this wonderful author.

Format: Paperback

Deadly Shamrocks paints a picture of what it was like to live in Hell's Kitchen during a time when Irish immigrants were struggling to survive. JB Reed does a great job of telling the story of a young woman working in a local Irish pub. The young woman in the story learns, in the long run, who she can and cannot trust. The book is written in a language that will give you a full flavor of the Irish dialect throughout. It is a quick read because it has ongoing action throughout.
